Places to Visit

Camusdarach Beach

Camusdarach beach is an arc of white, glistening sand and clear water. With a spectacular view to the crest of the Cuillins of Skye, the rugged blue peaks of Rum and the steep sea cliff of Eigg, Camusdarach is breathtaking. h

Isle of Skye

Skye is one of the top locations in Scotland to visit. It is famous for its scenery and landscapes that will take your breath away. The Island has a rich History covering many topics, such as: Dinosaur Fossils, Clan Warfare, Highland Clearances. Visit for more information.

Mallaig by Steam Train

With rugged hills and scenic lochs and described as one of the great railway journeys of the world this 84 mile round trip takes you past the famous sites shot on the Harry Potter Hogwarts express. Incredible views from the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Travel by steam on the seasonally-run  Jacobite Express to experience the full grandeur and step back in time, or enjoy the views at any time and take the Scotrail  scheduled train service, available 3 times daily.

Isle of Mull

Mull is a wild and beautiful island with over 300 miles of dramatic and scenic coastline. Renowned for, sandy beaches, wildlife watching and diverse landscape, Mull is a perfect getaway for a day trip reached by Calmac ferry. Mull is also home to the UK’s onlyWhite tailed Sea eagle viewing hide.

Highland Wildlife park

Enjoy a great family day out at the Highland Wildlife Park, the Highlands’  Wildest Visitor Attraction! From Polar Bears to Amur Tigers, and Capercaillie to Scottish Wildcats. The park also has an excellent kids play area.

Castle Stalker

Castle Stalker View Café & Gift Shop is set in stunning scenery in Appin, near Oban, Argyll, Scotland. With wonderful views of Castle Stalker. The castle is privately owned but do run a very limited number of tours each year – these can be arranged by prior appointment.

Ardnamurchan and Sunart

With amazing views over the islands seemingly around every corner, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula is  interspaced with stunning beaches. On your way take in the buetty of  the Sunart oak woods, and have  a break at the Garbh Eilean Wildlife Hide, which is one of the best wildlife viewing facilities you will find. The peninsula ends with the elegant Ardnamurchan lighthouse which is one of the UK’s top rated places to get engaged.

Ben Nevis Leisure Club

Pick up clean warm towels on arrival and go for a free swim, use the gym or unwind in the Jacuzzi, sauna or steam room as many times as you like during your stay. The Ben Nevis Leisure Club offers you the chance of a relaxing time after more strenuous activities!

Walk and Explore

Fort William is situated in the middle of one the best areas for walking in Europe.  Check out Walkhighlands for thousands of free detailed descriptions of walks and downloadable maps and waypoints.  A great place to plan a low level walk in the forest or a winter expedition.

Nevis Range

Nevis Range is a year-round mountain ski resort near Ben Nevis and Fort William. Take the gondola, bike on some of the best trails in the UK, ski, or swing in the trees on a high wire. If you want an easy day, take in the great views and enjoy great food in their Pinemarten café or Snowgoose restaurant at the top station.
